As of February 2018, Friends School Mullica Hill utilizes a “continuous enrollment contract,” also known as an “evergreen enrollment contract.” Here is an overview of what that means:
What is Evergreen Enrollment?
Evergreen Enrollment is a simplified re-enrollment process that eliminates annual paper contracts. Once a student is enrolled at Friends School Mullica Hill, he/she is assumed to be enrolled through completion of eighth grade, unless the family notifies the school otherwise.
Why did FSMH make the change from paper contracts to Evergreen Enrollment Contracts?
Evergreen Enrollment reflects the expectation that a child’s experience at FSMH is a relationship that lasts through to graduation. Additionally, it reduces the amount of paperwork parents need to complete and streamlines our administrative processes to better serve our community.
I am enrolling more than one child. Do I need to sign an Evergreen Enrollment Contract for each one?
Yes, you will need to complete one Evergreen Enrollment Contract for each child, but you will only need to do it once for their entire career at FSMH.
I am planning to keep my child(ren) at FSMH through graduation, but what if my plans change?
If your situation changes and your child(ren) will not be attending FSMH for an upcoming school year, you must inform the school in writing before March 15th of the current school year.
Is a deposit required?
Parents of currently enrolled students are no longer required to submit deposits each year. Only new families will be required to provide a $500 deposit per student enrolled.
How do payment plans work?
The school offers four payment plans (1 payment, 2 payments, 4 payments, or 11 monthly payments), which are detailed in the contract. If you wish to participate in the 2, 4, or 11 monthly payment plans, please contact the Business Office to enroll in our Smart Tuition payment program.
Where and when will tuition and fees be posted?
Tuition and fees for the upcoming school year are posted on or before February 15th. The information is shared with current families through a letter from the school’s administration; the information is also posted on the FSMH website.
I am applying for tuition assistance. How does the Evergreen Contract take into consideration my tuition assistance application?
Per the Evergreen Contract, families have 15 days from date of notification of the tuition assistance offer to provide written notice of termination to the school if the tuition assistance package is not accepted. Families must meet all tuition assistance deadlines outlined in the contract.
Will I need to fill out a new tuition assistance application each year?
Yes. Tuition assistance will continue to be an annual process and families must submit new applications each year. The online application is accessible through the FSMH website.
